Located in the heart of the Cheverny and Cour Cheverny, Domaine Tessier was founded in 1961 by Roger Tessier. His son, Philippe, took over in 1981.
The domaine is situated in a microclimate that keeps the vineyards cool, between forest and the Loire River, and has been certified organic by Ecocert since 1998. Philippe currently has 23 hectares of vines and produces wines from three different appellations: Cour-Cheverny from the local grape Romorantin, white, red and rose Cheverny, all of which are blends, and Cremant de Loire white and rose.
Philippe believes that a wine should be the expression of the place from which it comes and reflect the climactic conditions of the year as well as the vigneron who produces it, while also respecting the life of the soil and the environment. It should give pleasure, be alive, digestible and, above all, natural.
