Cheverny Rosé 2013

Although it has a lot of competition at Thirst, this may well be the ideal rosé of summer. Composed of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Gamay that’s grown in clay and silex soil, it has a beautiful salmon color. It’s a fresh, red-fruited rosé with notes of cinnamon, almonds, pepper, and some floral notes. Fine to enjoy on it’s own, it pairs well with grilled meats and crudités, but also works nicely with with food that’s more exotically spiced.
