Now this reminds us of why we freakin’ love Cabernet Franc (from special terroirs and certain producers like Emeline & Sebastien). From a small parcel planted with 25-40 year-old vines, Ruben is the first wine Emeline & Sebastien made together in 2011. The juice is macerated for thirty days and, after fermentation is completed, it’s aged in old 330-liter barrels in the domaine’s natural limestone cave for seven months.

Floral- & brambly-scented, with deep black fruit, and supple tannins, Ruben is drinking fantastic now, but, if you can manage to set a bottle or a few aside, it will also benefit from a few more years in the bottle.
