Vernaccia from San Gimignano has been considered one of Italy’s finest white wines since the Renaissance. Following local tradition, Elisabetta macerates the must on the skins to extract the flavors and capture the character of the land from which it springs. This is a medium-bodied wine with citrus notes, dried herbs, and a hint of bitter almonds. Pair it with shellfish, sushi, and iron-rich seasonal vegetables like artichokes, asparagus or spinach.
