"The “Steinterrassen” wines should be thought of as the 1er Cru wines; they are always sourced from steep, terraced vineyards, from some of the better, older-vine parcels. The “Muschelkalk” is sourced from parcels on solid limestone; it is a wine of nervy, tense power, with saturating, direct mineral-laden acidity and a green-tinged citrus and floral presentation."
