About the wine

This is a high-tone beauty of a vin de soif from Marie + Vincent tricot who tend 10.5 hectares of vines around the village of Orcet in the Auvergne.

Vinification: 100% Gamay hand-harvested from ~40 year-old vines grown in volcanic, limestone soils. The grapes undergo whole-cluster spontaneous fermentation (ambient yeasts; no temp. control) in fiberglass tanks before a short élevage in old oak barrels. Bottled unfined, unfiltered with no additional SO2. 13.5%ABV
