Being the proprietors of their vineyards since the 1700s, the Lindelaubs are a family of the vines and Christophe has followed suit. A supremely experienced apprentice and studied enologist, Christophe tends over 10 hectares of his family’s estate. The soils here are primarily composed of the highly-sought-after clay and limestone, paired with a shallow sub-soil of sandstone. Such complexity is expressed very clearly in these wines. Among the several exciting and on-the-rise natural Alsatian producers working today, Christophe separates himself with a kind of delicacy and linearity in his wines. They may be wild, but they are finely conveyed. Loving and deep, his are wines to savor.

Tasting Notes: Alsace Riesling masquerading as a smoky, zesty Chenin. Campfire on the nose. Razor sharp acidity with a slightly bitter undercurrent, like caramelized slices of grapefruit. A delightfully dramatic wine that we recommend enjoying with nothing but a candle burning in the dark and Bonnie Raitt playing softly in the background.

Vinification: 100% Riesling hand-harvested from old-vines grown in chalk, clay, and limestone soils. The grapes are directly-pressed and undergo fermentation in stainless steel. Unfined, unfiltered with no additional SO2.
