About the wine

This is a crisp, dry, easygoing rosé of 100% Monastrell (aka Mourvedre, Mataro) from La Bodega de Pinoso who work around Valencia on the east coast of Spain.

Vinification: 100% Monastrell hand-harvested from vines grown in primarily limestone soils at 600-700m above sea level. The grapes undergo a 10 hour maceration before being once-racked at which point the juice begins spontaneous fermentation (ambient yeasts) which lasts for 15-20 days in temperature controlled tanks. Bottled unfined, coarsely filtered, minimal additional SO2 at bottling.
