About the wine

Despite the colder vintage, harvest commenced a month earlier in 2019. The Chardonnay undergoes a 3-day maceration on the skins, resulting in a wine that is vibrant and invigorating, with subtle hints of bitterness towards the finish. Before dismissing it due to personal preference, give it a try! With its delightful meyer lemon aromas and smooth texture, this Chardonnay is one that we can envision enjoying repeatedly.

The Producer: Sam Vinciullo

After spending over a decade traveling and honing his winemaking skills worldwide, Sam finally found his true connection to the planet, soil, and wine in Mount Etna. While working for a renowned winemaker in the region, Sam was disheartened to discover that this so-called natural winemaker used sterile filtration, which contradicted his own beliefs. As a result, he made the decision to return to his hometown of Cowaramup, a charming small town in the Margaret River area of Western Australia. This magical place boasts diverse microclimates and soils. Sam chose to work in a vineyard there and even built a cozy home on the property. He now dedicates himself to growing, harvesting, and crafting wine, handling every aspect of the process primarily on his own.
