When we first tasted these wines, they were a revelation. These are from New York!?!?
This is a rare chance to meet Andrew and taste his wines, which many of you have gotten to know and love.
Andrew Scott began his winemaking journey by making wine in the basement of his New Jersey home. His influences are primarily artisanal French natural winemakers and, early on in his wine adventures, Joe Dressner and his wife Denyse Louis (Louis/Dressner Selections) set up visits with many of the producers Andrew and his wife, Jennifer Clark, were particularly drawn to.
In 2008, Jennifer and Andrew moved full-time to what had been their weekend retreat, a 19-acre farm in Long Eddy, a hamlet in Sullivan County, to launch Eminence Road Farm Winery. Andrew was working as an art director at Random House but had reached a point where he “just couldn’t do it anymore,” so he quit. Jennifer, who holds an MBA, kept her marketing job for a couple of years to help make the transition a smooth one. She handles the business side; Andrew makes the wine.
