Gianmarco Antonuzzi and Clementine Bouveron are the husband-and-wife team behind Le Coste. They both worked in Alsace for the rule-breaking Schueller. When they married, they relocated to Italy and bought a beautiful abandoned piece of land near Gianmarco’s childhood town of Gradoli, facing volcanic Lake Bolsena, at the border of Tuscany, in Lazio. They tend about 14 hectares of land, rich in iron and minerals. Within their vineyards is a warren of olive groves, chestnut trees, shrubs and oaks.
Their approach is extremely natural and based on biodynamic principles. Le Coste’s wines are among the most expressive, pure, and natural Italian wines, and a sheer joy to drink.
