Dora Bella 2012

Made from Poulsard grapes from fifty-year-old vines sourced from the La Mailloche vineyard along with some grapes from their En Curon vineyard, this fresh, juicy, light red is named after one of the sisters from the opera Cosi Fan Tutte. It has lovely acidity and very gentle tannins along with some fruit, strawberries and raspberries, but also a pleasant herbal, spicy finish. There’s a bit of residual carbon dioxide in this wine that enhances its freshness.
