100% Moscatel Galego, from 35-year-old high altitude vines grown in schist and granite. Six weeks maceration, with wild yeast fermentation and then a subsequent four months rest in stainless steel. Unfined, unfiltered, with zero SO2 at bottling. The wolf on the label is a fair representation of this wine's bite: fierce and straight to the throat, with mace and spicy orange peel. The nose has the wolf's saliva, salty and muddy with the morning's feast, but still remarkably fresh. Tannins are soft but chalky, with a long pithy finish.
