The Details
This is an awesomely glou-glou muscat-based, low-abv sparkler that carries white flower, underripe pome fruit, and some salinity on the finish. Thirst-quenching as ever, from Marie and Vincent Tricot who tend 10.5 hectares of vines around the village of Orcet in the Auvergne.
Vinification: 100% Muscat hand-harvested from young vines grown in limestone, clay, and basalt soils. The grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation (ambient yeasts; no temp. control) and are bottled under crown-cap before the first fermentation is complete, typical of the pétillant naturel method. Bottled unfined, unfiltered (disgorged), with no additional SO2. 6%ABV
