100% Tempranillo, from 17-year-old vines grown on chalk, clay and sand. Fermented spontaneously in stainless steel and rested in tank. Behold the gamey, funky, hunk that is Tempranillo from southern Spain. Not for the lighthearted Rioja fans, but for the adventurous, this is the juice. Spicy cornmeal on the nose, with blackcurrants and tobacco. On the palate, a touch of tar, nduja sausage, and blackberry jam. Drink with steak, but grilled with chilli and potatoes.
