The Details
100% Alfrocheiro from 19-year-old vines grown on clay/limestone soils close to the Atlantic Ocean. Destemmed and macerated for 30 days. Spontaneous yeast fermentation without temperature control, then aged for ten months in both stainless and large neutral barrels. No fining or filtration. If you want to taste wind and calcareous soil, sip this wine. Vibrant cherry fruit and brambly blackberry meets a salty, chalky punch of the sea. Medium-bodied, with a supple mouthfeel and a long finish of grape skin and minerality. Enjoy with root vegetables soaked in butter and herbs.
