About the wine

Piedirosso is commonly used as a blending grape, but in this particular cuvee, it stands out on its own with its traditional plummy flavors. The wine also exhibits hints of graphite and herbs, reminiscent of Cabernet Franc, as well as a brininess typically found in Rhone Syrah. Alongside these flavors, there are also lifted red fruit and sour cherry notes, herbal undertones, and a subtle saltiness, which is not surprising considering the vineyards offer a breathtaking view of the sea. This wine pairs well with bold and flavorful dishes like anchovies, rich tomato sauce, and black olives, as the refreshing acidity will cleanse the palate and leave you wanting more. It is a classic choice for a red wine to accompany a Southern Italian dinner.
