Collection: Les Vignes de Yavanna

Julie & Charles Escaillet developed their expertise in oenology and viticulture while working under the mentorship of Chinon grower Patrick Corbineau, who has been an inspiration to many Loire producers. In 2019, they created Les Vignes de Yavanna, cultivating 3 hectares of sandy, silty vineyards with some clay in the Tigné, Machelles and Faye d'Anjou communes, most of which are over 50 years old. This results in concentrated wines, such as Grolleau and Cabernet Franc, each handmade using whole bunch fermentations in neutral vessels. A small-scale operation, Les Vignes de Yavanna produces only a few thousand bottles per vintage of these vibrant and accessible natural wines.
