The Details

From Chiaramonte Gulfi in Southeast Sicily, this is a co-ferment of Nero d'Avola, Merlot, Albanello & Grillo. Grapes are hand-harvested and whole-cluster spontaneously ferment together for 10 days prior to pressing. Aged in a combination of neutral barrel and fiberglass vat prior to bottling unfined, unfiltered, minimal (7ppm) added SO2.
