The Details

Savoie, France. 100% Jacquère from Saint Baldoph (elevation ~400m but climatically it is distinctly a Mountain Wine), direct pressed, fermented in stainless steel with wild yeasts and aged on the lees in neutral barrique. Unfined, unfiltered, no SO2. 

From the importer: "This wine is called "Before The Storm". 2018 was a great vintage in quality and quantity, but Mathieu lost 80% of his crop due to a hail storm in 2019. So this cuvée might very well be a one time release. The label art was designed by Alice Bossut, a childhood friend of Mathieu's."
