2022, proving to be an intensely difficult vintage, rendered the Ardèche vineyards where Aurélien usually farms his Gamay extremely low yields. So much so, he had to blend some entry Syrah into the Gamay. A rare, distinct treat from a supremely difficult year. Heavy-but-light -- shares something with Guillaume Gilles' N. Rhône Gamay 'Combeaux Massardieres' from years ago...
4-5 weeks of semi-carbonic maceration prior to pressing into tank where the wine rests for 9 months. Unfined, unfiltered, minimal added SO2 at bottling. 13.5%ABV
