The Details
St-Lambert-du-Lattay, Loire Valley, France. A lightly spritzy Chenin. Zero/zero.
From the importer:
"This comes from the parcel of La Navine. 2019 was supposed to be the very last vintage of pet nat for them because pet nat is such a pain in the ass to disgorge and control. For example, the lab that does all of the wine analysis for the domaine told them that the wine had the right amount of sugar in order to bottle, but the numbers were off and the bottles were starting to explode in the cellar early summer 2020. Agnès & Babass had to do an emergency disgorgement from midnight-6am for 7 days in a row. Nuée Bulleuse never made it as a sparkling wine/pet nat… it's "finement perlant" aka just a spritz of gas. Quite refreshing!"
