The Details
This is a beautiful, prickly and plummy slightly-sparkling and deeper-extraction rosato from Cantina Giardino who work 6 hectares of old-vine parcels in the hills of Campania's Irpinia.
Vinification: 100% Aglianico hand-harvested from old-vines grown at 500meters elevation. The grapes are directly-pressed into tank where they undergo spontaneous fermentation (ambient yeasts; no temp. control). The wine is bottled with a tincture of pied de cuve of the previous vintage's sweet aglianico to kickstart the secondary fermentation that is completed under crown-cap, giving the wine its natural effervescence. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, no additional SO2. 12.5%ABV
