The Details
A field blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Alfrocheiro, Jaen, Água-Santa, Tinta Pinheira and Baga, from neighboring plots on granite. Co-fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tank, followed by a long maceration and 8 months elevage in neutral barrel. A Twin Peaks nose: woodsy pine, rich coffee, and a touch of smoke. Plush, with deep blue plum on the palate, angling for attention amidst a soft cover of graphite minerality. A wine to be drunk with something freshly hunted or foraged, like venison with grilled ramps.
