The Details

Erdeluftgrasundreben translates to 'earth, air, grass and vines’. Its referent is the single vineyard Edelgraben on the Leitha Hills above Neusiedlersee in Southeast Austria's Burgenland, on the border with broader Pannonia and the Puszta which spread far into Hungary to the east. This wine, owing to some bizarre copyright story cannot simply be called Edelgraben ergo the mouthful alteration. 

Old vines of Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc) on pure limestone fermented and aged in amphora. No added sulphites. A ridiculously elegant wine. Decant and let it rip forever. 11.5%ABV
