The Details
"Arjies" aka Argelliers, the village name of where this wine is grown in the Languedoc in the old Occitan language. 50% Syrah. 25% Grenache, 25% Cinsault from the oldest vines on the estate. Organically cultivated on very stony soils. Hand-harvested, macerated for a few weeks and spontaneously fermented prior to pressing. Aged in foudre/demi-muid for 1 year then transferred to concrete for 6 months further aging before bottling unfined, unfiltered, minimal (<15ppm) added SO2.
