Cutter Cascadia, "#1 Grandpa" 2021

Mostly Chardonnay w/ 1/3 Riesling. 4-days of skin-contact give the wine slight texture and bright aromatics though the wine remains closer to a white than an "orange" in overall profile; in fact more like a hillside Tuscan Bianco (they farm at nearly the same latitude as Michael Garofola's forebears did in Tuscany once upon a time). Pressed into old barrel where the wine rests, once-racked, prior to bottling. Unfined, unfiltered, minimal SO2 at bottling.
