The Details

100% Syrah from Crozes-Hermitage, this wine is called "Spring" because it comes from the estate's heaviest soils and, being released the spring after harvest, is the estate's most youthful, generous, fruitier/"primeur" for lack of a better term, wine. After a short maceration and pressing the wine spontaneously ferments and ages in a combination of large wooden cask and neutral oak barrel. Zero/zero.
