About the wine

A supremely elegant and unexpected old-vine Riesling (!) from California (!)

100% Riesling from Cole Ranch in Mendocino, vines planted in 1973 marking it as among the oldest riesling vineyards in the entire US. Situated in a narrow valley at elevation between Boonville and Ukiah. 

Directly pressed, spontaneously fermented and aged in 1000L Stockinger Ovals (neutral barrels). Bottled unfined, unfiltered, minimal SO2 at bottling. 13%ABV
