From slightly younger vines than Vigne de Rose, this is sourced from 23-45 year-old vines that Christian tends across the Hautes-Côtes (La Rave, Yvette, Le Bois Prevot for the names of the lieu-dits). Slightly longer maceration here still yields a wine of ridiculous purity – these vineyards are higher elevation than the Vigne de Rose as well, and it shows. The aromatics here are gorgeous and share more with Côte-Rotie than Burgundy – mint, eucalyptus, fresh greens on the nose with wild strawberries and a leaner more mineral palate as well. Outstanding.
