100% lip-smacking Chardonnay. Poussot is the name of a parcel of Alice's vignes she originally designated for pat-nats, but to her surprise, destiny set the grapes to be for a still wine. Alice thus crafted as ethereal of a wine as she could make, showcasing the site's olfactory joy: pear, pineapple, and lemon verbena, which trickle down to the tongue, where they are joined by a lively acidity and (almost pet-natesque!) freshness.
Alice Bouvot is the proud proprietor of 5 hectares of vines in the Arbois region of the Jura. L’Octavin is biodynamic certified. Wild grasses, weeds, insects, and animals all have a place in their vines creating a true ecosystem that gives a deeper meaning to each glass of her wine. Since 2009 all L’Octavin wines are “pur jus”, with no additives whatsoever.
