The Details
From a treacherous vintage in 2021, Pauline Broqua made 2 wines: a red and a white. This is the red. It is composed of all the red varieties she grows: Fer Servadou, Cabernet Franc, Jurançon Noir, Negret de Banhars, & Mouyssaguès all organically cultivated on clay/limestone soils in 2 separate plots, one encircling Pauline's house, and the other atop a hill on a south-facing slope not far from home. 20 year-old vines, on average. The grapes are hand-harvested and semi-carbonically macerate, spontaneously ferment, and age in tank prior to being bottled unfined, unfiltered, no additional SO2. 12%ABV
