The Details

60% Pinot Noir, 40% Gamay from a single .2 ha parcel co-planted in the 50s and 80s, harvested together and co-fermented—all in the old style. The fruit is fermented 90% whole cluster, then moved into 600L neutral barrels for malolactic fermentation and élevage. One of the most vivid examples of Passetoutgrains we’ve seen in years, reminding us of a dead split between the perfume of Burgundy and the forest ruddiness of Beaujolais. Bottled with zero added SO2. Zero/zero.

About Burgundy

The Burgundy wine region, nestled in the heart of eastern France, is an enchanting tapestry of vine-covered hills, historic villages, and unparalleled terroir. Revered as the holy grail of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Burgundy's wines are celebrated for their purity, finesse, and capacity to express the essence of individual vineyard plots. The region's famed Côte d'Or, divided into the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, is home to some of the world's most coveted vineyards, each named meticulously on its own. From the robust, age-worthy reds of Gevrey-Chambertin to the ethereal and elegant whites of Meursault, Burgundy's terroir-driven wines are a testament to the region's dedication to tradition and meticulous winemaking. Here, winemakers carefully honor centuries-old practices while allowing the land to tell its unique story in each bottle, making Burgundy an enduring and magical destination for wine enthusiasts seeking transcendental experiences in the glass.
