The Details
A hauntingly gorgeous German Chardonnay, seducing with the pure acidity of deep limestone, but ensconced in a Angelo Badalamenti score that evokes cathartic joy. Beautiful now, will only continue to develop.
This is 35-year-old Chardonnay sourced from the Zellertal, with their feet deep in limestone. The yields are very low, about 25 ha. The grapes are whole-cluster pressed and then ferment naturally in used barrique for over 12 months.
