The Details
"The majority of the apples for the Harbor Hill Moraine are grown in an organically-managed, backyard orchard with forty-year-old Grimes Golden trees out in Orient, far east on the North Fork of Long Island. Two miles away, Erik and Benford were able to find Russet apples from an untended orchard on a long-standing family farm with trees planted by the current owner’s grandfather. You got all that?
They pressed the apples from both locations separately with the Grimes Golden in used barrel for élevage and the Russets in a glass demijohn."
