The Details
A volcanic red from the Valle de Güímar on the southeast coast of Tenerife in the Canary Islands, "Los Loros" is composed of 100% Listán Negro grapes grown on 40-50 year-old vines at 700-1300m altitude. The grapes are hand-harvested and are foot-trodden whole-cluster prior to spontaneous fermentation and a short élevage in neutral barrel. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, no additional SO2. 12%ABV
