The Details

100% Riesling from a collection of vineyards near Kinheim in the Mittelmosel, grapes are hand-harvested from 40-50 year-old vines planted to fairly pure grey slate soils in Kröver Steffenberg, Kinheimer Hubertuslay, and Erdener Treppchen(!). Directly pressed and spontaneously fermented in stainless steel separately by plot, the wines are then blended and aged for 2.5 years sur lie also in stainless before bottling unfined, unfiltered, no additional SO2.
