The Details
100% Montonico. This grape, mostly used in blends, is the parent of Garganega (the famous grape of Soave), and is now mostly found in Teramo. Only 700ha are left in the world! Here, David and Marco vinified in whole bunches for one week before elevage in concrete tank. Incredibly floral on the nose, but bursting with winter citrus on the palate. Italian whites are rarely "juicy", but I think Lizzo would give a seal of approval on this one.
Lammidia is the project of Davide Gentile and Marco Giuliani, two best friends who were former tech and finance bros, until they gave it up to return to their homeland and make some pure, natty juice. Their wines are always Zero/Zero (nothing in the vineyards, nothing in the cellar) and truly game-changing in what you can expect from Abruzzo.
