The Details
From the southeasterly Hautes-Apes, this is 100% Muscat à Petits Grains sourced from organically farmed 30 year old vines grown in the village of Barnave in the Drôme. Grapes are hand-harvested and slowly, directly pressed via vertical basket press to fiberglass for spontaneous fermentation. 60% of the wine's volume is racked to neutral barrel while the remaining 40% rests sur lie for an additional 9 months élevage. Blended and bottled unfined, unfiltered, minimal (15ppm) added SO2. 12% ABV
