The Details
A blend of mostly Procanico (sibling of Trebbiano), with Malvasia, Roscetto, Pedino, Vermentino, Romanesco and Ansonica. The grapes are hand-harvested from 50-year-old vines grown in volcanic soil and spend a few weeks with the skins. The juice is then gently pressed into old barrels to finish fermentation and rest for a year. Bottled unfined, unfiltered with no additional SO2.
Le Coste tends over 14 hectares of high-elevation vines in Lazio, around Lago di Bolsena in the town of Gradoli (Gianmarco’s childhood home).
