The Details
This is a rosé similar in style to those plump delights from Tavel though distinctly its own - with a bit of bite and crunch, the typical woodsy/cedar-like aromatics balanced with pepper and bramble before a pillowy palate laden with blackberry and plum. One of our staff's all-time favorites. From Les Frères Soulier who tend 8 hectares of vines in St. Hilaire-d'Ozilhan, Gard, France.
Vinification: Mostly Syrah, a little tempranillo
Region: Languedoc-Roussillon
Soil type: North-west facing hillside, clay-limestone plot crossed by a vein of white clay.
Aging: 6 months in barrels, 3 months in bottles
