The Details
100% Syrah from the La Clastre parcel in Saint Hilaire d'Ozilhan in the Gard, Southern Rhône. Grapes are biodynamically farmed by the Soulier brothers. This wine comes from the exceptionally painstaking 2024 vintage which was marked by extreme mildew pressure that ended up devastating the vast majority of their fruit. This is from some of the fruit that survived and was packed with a bit more concentration owing to the extremely low yields.
Grapes are hand-harvested and macerate for only 72 hours before pressing. Spontaneous fermentation and aging in neutral barrel for 1 year before bottling unfined, unfiltereed, no additional SO2. Less than 900 bottles made (~just 3 barriques).
