Mataburro, "Mura Mura" 2024

MAX 2 BTL / CUSTOMER 

Rosé field-blend with a labyrinthine vinification makeup. Merlot and Muscat Petits Grains are picked at the same time in early August and co-macerate for 3 days before pressing. Muscat d'Alexandrie was picked a few days later and got twofold treatment in separate tanks: whole-bunch in one, destemmed in the other. Maceration lasted a few days before pressing. Grenache was harvested around the same time as the Muscat d'Alexandrie and whole-bunch macerated for 2 days before pressing. Mourvèdre, the final variety in the wine, was harvested a month later in mid-September somehow not overly ripe! Whole-bunch maceration lasted for a couple days before pressing. All the separate components were then racked and blended into fiberglass (85% of the wine) and Stockinger barrel (15% of the wine). Where it rested for 6 months. Blended and settled in tank for a few days and bottled unfined, unfiltered, no additional SO2. 11.5% ABV
