The Details
"Mukai Shuzō is a 100% pure sake brewery guided by Kuniko Mukai - one of Japan's first female head brewers. She is a virtuoso at using innovative methods to produce extremely unusual flavors that expand the horizons of sake's taste range.
This unique sake is partly made with an ancient rice variety, which gives its red color to the sake, as well as a distinctive olive/pomegranate taste and aroma. The balance of sweetness and acidity make it a perfect aperitif, but also a good match with smoked food, vegetable dishes, desserts, and cheese."
Lovely in color, pale rose red. Pure fruited with lovely acidity. Floral notes mingle with light cherry, and an earthy, nutty, bready finish.
