The Details
100% Kékfrankos (aka Blaufränkisch) pét-nat from free-run juice!
From the importer:
This is Pálffy’s special Kékfrankos rosé Pét-Nat, the Báró! Named after Attila’s friend’s greyhound (pictured on the label), the Báró Rosé is 100% Kékfrankos (Blaufränkisch). It was grown on the Pellengér vineyard, with mostly basalt volcanic soils with some limestone. Flavors of red berries and spice, with a nice lingering acidity on the finish.
Whole cluster pressing and spontaneous fermentation. Unfined, unfiltered and not disgorged. Zero sulfur added. Certified organic farming
From Wine Enthusiast: “Slightly cloudy and with persistent fizziness, this deep pink sparkler has a nose of pomegranate, clementine and lavender. It has strawberry, cherry and tangerine flavors with notes of mint leaf, rose petal and white chocolate, and a lively finish.” (92 Points, December 2023)
