The Details
Is there anything more ethereal than the color of Poulsard in the glass? Philippe's Point Barre is a light, delicate almost translucent red wine that gives off aromas of red currants, citrus and saddle leather with a touch of cinnamon. A perfect match for pretty much anything, but we earnestly encourage you to savor at least of glass of this out on the stoop or balcony, maybe with a Zadie Smith or James Baldwin novel, and savor true contemplative beauty.
Philippe Bornard is one of the most beloved producers of Jura's popular resurgence, making playful and vibrant wines with a beautiful capacity to age. Philippe's son Tony has recently taken over and is bringing a little Lady Gaga to his father's Madonna: zero addition wines that are simultaneously radical and reverential.
