About the wine
In the heart of Alsace, one of the region’s more well-renowned villages known for their nervy wines crafted from mainly granitic soils – Dambach-la-Ville – houses Domaine Arnold, a family estate who’ve made wine here for 310+ years, having been founded in 1711. That’s some deep roots in one place. Today, the estate is headed by Pierre & Suzanne Arnold, cultivating vines over 8 hectares with holdings around the village dedicated to the typical varieties of the region: Riesling, Pinot Gris, Auxerrois, Sylvaner, & Pinot Noir. The emphasis is on refreshingly straightforward wines with the backbone of tradition (that they’ve made these wines, this way, since time immemorial). Easy to love Alsatian excellence.
A textured and aromatic blend of Pinot Gris, direct-pressed Pinot Noir and Riesling. The grapes are cofermented in stainless with wild yeasts and then aged for 9 months on the lees in the same tanks. Unfined, unfiltered, no SO2.
