The Details
A new cuvée from Evan Lewandowski, one of our favorite young American winemakers who has recently relocated from Utah to California to take over a small estate of old Italian varieties that he is converting to organic viticulture.
L. Stone 2017, in Evan's words: "Why would anyone be surprised at all by this wine? Fox Hill is an incredible vineyard site and has proven its merit in numerous ways with numerous producers in both red and white format. But for die hard Sangiovese fans; those that love the leather, the book shelf, the dried cherry, the licorice spice and baked earth...all that density and levity and taut structure, new world versions rarely stack up and often disappoint. 2017 L.Stone, Ruth's surprising new Fox Hill flagship."
