The Details

100% Grenache from Cucugnan in the Languedoc. Grapes are hand-harvested in two passes, one slightly underripe, one slightly overripe. First harvest macerates for 2 days; second harvested macerates for a short period of time on the lees of another red they made that was 100% Syrah (i.e. on Syrah marc). Juices are blended and wine is finished in fiberglass for an additional 10-12 months aging. Unfined, unfiltered, no additional SO2.
