100% Touriga Nacional from...Texas! Yes, Texan wine is here, it's queer and it's going to help us with a blue wave in 2020! Ok, ok, off topic there. In the words of Long Island winemaker-turned-Texan pioneer, Regan Meador: 

"Touriga Nacional. One of the great port varieties, but port this is not. Elegant in structure and infinitely unique in expression these 25 year old vines really did out do themselves. The 2018 version shows all of the typical varietal hallmarks like violets and beets, but as if you secretly hid them in that box you used to hide your weed in in High School." 

10 months in neutral oak, no fining, and just 20ppm of SO2 at bottling. 

Southold Farm + Cellar is a winery and vineyard that started on the North Fork of Long Island by Regan and Carey Meador, sold, moved and that now exists in Gillespie County, Texas. We are and always will be a winery whose sole mission is to make wines that speak of place and time, that thrill and delight our friends, family and ourselves. In order to do so, our winemaking decisions are dictated by what has happened during that season, not stylistic emulation of other regions or forced consistency. - Regan
